Can't finish it
Potential Minor Spoilers

I see why people like this game, it's got so many good elements to it and it's truly unique. But some of the exploration killing choices they made are really frustrating and have colored my experience of the game negatively after a lot of initial positives

Dark Bramble is the final straw for me; I'm not powering through this painful slog. You can't see, it's a maze, and there's a fish that instakills you when you try to move and explore. It's a perfect cocktail for not wanting to set foot in an area, having no desire to explore it, and wanting to quit the game. I load the game up, make the long drive to Dark Bramble, set foot inside the planet's insides, start moving toward one of the random dots with no indication as to what is the correct one, and as soon as I touch my engines I get eaten by a fish.

And I get that Feldspar is the harmonica, but I actually found him, I'm looking for Vessel and Escape Pod 3 and have no clue where they are.

This game was fairly fun in spurts but overall, I found myself getting frustrated not knowing where to go or what the developers thought I should know to do next. I enjoyed uncovering the story of the Nomai, but I honestly am not motivated enough to keep going at this point; Dark Bramble broke me.

I also had tons of problems with the layout of Brittle Hollow, reaching the ash twin core; none of this stuff was intuitive for me. I used a guide and still struggled with the navigation in this game.

I was so sure the whole game that I would be glowing about it when finished like everyone else seems to be; now I won't even reach the finish because of some obtuse game design and one of the worst levels I've come across in any game that has derailed my experience.

may I ask, did you utilise the computer in your spaceship?
it's very useful for seeing where you might be missing some clues.

dark bramble... scary place 😅
the fish... there's clues on how to deal with them on ember twin, inside the sunless city.

escape pod 3... have you found other escape pods?
how did you find them?
did you notice something change when you found them?

i would say, you aren't supposed to explore dark bramble... this is the point of the fog and the fish.
there's ways of navigating it, like you did to reach Feldspar.

Hopefully my reply has been spoiler free enough to still give you some new ideas.
Best of luck!
Happy to drop more hints if you'd like.

You tracked Feldspar by the signal he plays, so you already know the answer to Bramble is you need to know what you're aiming for first, it's not a maze to be explored blindly

On a *completely unrelated tangent*, Escape Pods are very needy aren't they? Constantly crying for attention..

Unfortunately nearly all guides will destroy the experience, they'll give the answers but omit how you would have learned them so they'll always feel unintuitive, but all of the hints are in there!

There is indeed a way to pass past the fish without being eaten (clue on another planet, have you found something related to fish anywhere else ?)
Regarding the ship, have you found parts of the ship anywhere else ? anything particular to be heard ?

As a last resort, mods can help (removing the fog, but it wont help you find out where to go, or even removing fish...).
If you play on keyboard and mouse, you may need a mod to naviguate dark bramble safely, can't see more without spoiling.

The angler fish traversing is not exploration, but a gatekeeping puzzle that has two pieces to it: first is knowing what to do, which the Nomi tells you like 5 times as long as you find where the info is. The second part is how to do it, which you need to figure out w/ trial and error, but it's not hard once you know.

Brittle Hollow, yea, try to unlock the meditation skill which is basically a loop restart from your pause menu which is not given to you and most people unlock at the end of the game, as the ultimate ♥♥♥♥ you from the devs .

As others have already said, Dark Bramble is more like a puzzle and once you know what to do, it's pretty straightforward like everything else in the game.

Consider it a "final boss" of sorts. A roadblock standing between you and the wonderful ending. There's a reason why so many people are glowing about it, the ending is that good. And you will like it if you liked the game so far. So I really recommend you persevere and push through the dark place, because there's a light at the end of this tunnel (both literally and figuratively ;) ).
