EPIC performance over steam
I own this game on both EPIC and steam.
I want to play steam for achievements, but i get 20/30 frames greater on EPIC.
Any reason for this? Has anyone else experienced?

graphics settings same on both?

have you tried disabling the steam overlay to check the difference?

yeah, was going to post 'steam overlay' as well. Have you ensured you played both on a 'level' field? All background processes off, etc, alternate start-up using one platform then switch to the other and vice-versa? A performance hit might be loading shaders, just guessing.

Also, if using nvidia experience disable that.

yes, settings are the same on both platforms. each time i make a change, it reflects in the other, so both games must share the same config file.

I tried disabling the steam overlay and it made no difference. I also don't run the geforce overlay as is either.

i start the game and fly to brittle hollow fast as i can so i get relatively the same experience
on each platform. i go to an area where there are 3 scroll insert walls in the hanging city to do the comparisons. 30-40 frames with steam and 70-80 with epic.

I have EGS version as well, ini files are in C:\Users\[user name]\AppData\Local or sometimes in user\documents\ depends on game, so yes, both platforms would draw from the same config files.

That's a massive difference, speechless ¯\(°_o)/¯
