Two of the three areas have no stealth and no trick methods, Starlit Cove is the only one that takes any stealth without a trick (and not too much then - plus you CAN get around it if you don't mind having almost no time to look at the reel, which is less bad now that they show up in the ship's log)
Shrouded woodlands - honestly stealth isn't even useful here. I guess to follow them to find the tunnel, but that's pretty easy since they aren't on alert.
Starlit cove - you do need a little stealth. or you can actually do it like shrouded woodlands and wait them out, but you don't have much time this way. Do wish there was an alternative here, sneaking does feel 'intended'.
Endless Canyon - I feel like a lot of people miss this one and sneak, but the lift up from the raft is right next to where you're trying to get, so you can just set up and take the raft from starlit cove, no sneaking required
Things are fairly good despite that, especially with plenty of unrelated ways of playing around the loop and map structure, but it could have definitely still been better.
Starlit cove: I haven't tested it, but I would guess the same solution to shrouded woodlands would bypass the stealth. The, shall we say, gruesome method of bypassing alarms might also let you just walk down without spawning the dudes, but I haven't tried so there may be a locked door somewhere. Setting down the lantern and just booking it probably makes exploring easier (yeah you need the lantern for the elevator, but once you know the path it's easy to beeline it in the dark).
Endless Canyon: as Quillithe said, the sneak puzzle is the same one to reach the lift, and you can do it before spawning the dudes. You actually don't even need to use the lift at that point, just run straight through because there are no dudes between the entrance and the tree painting.
I think you can skip one of them entirely (the outdoor archive room, Starlit cove I think?) by going through glitchspace. Needless to say this is the one that shows you how to do that, but there's probably someone who found it accidentally.
Now that slide reels are in your ship's log it's not as bad though.
Yeah, they all have a backdoor by using their glitch. There's that one, being dead to skip the alarms, and an invisible bridge in Endless Canyon that lets you skip to where the raft lift goes up to, so you skip the stealth without having to set up the raft lift.
There's an achievement for getting all three in one life, and you need these tricks for it.
Starlit cove only requires you to turn out the lights to get past the sentry tower at the top of the well. Being dead avoids that issue entirely, so you don't need to turn out the lights and so no guards (until you get to the bottom of the well, but they're quite easy to avoid).
Endless canyon has invisible bridges on both sides; dropping the artefact lets you find the other one. The one on the right runs from the "eye" where you make the central bridge appear to the top of the raft elevator. If you use that, the only guard you'll encounter is in the tree mural room (they'll be standing in the doorway opposite the one through which you need to exit, so they're actually more of a help than a hindrance).
