Can I restart the DLC part without losing progress in the main game?
I started playing Echoes of the Eye some time ago and I want to have a fresh restart without deleting my 100% playthrough of the main game. Can it be done and if so, how?

You can start a new profile.
If you mean you want a 100% save for the main game with 0% for the dlc, I think the devs posted a link to a save somewhere on the forum when the dlc came out.
There are really minors difference in the dlc ending if you played the main game or not.

well I don't want to sound picky but a different save file wouldn't be my playthrough. I am not autistic btw.
However, seems like it doesn't work the way I want it to work. I may wait until I am ready for an entire playthrough again and I'll let the DLC rest for that time. Anyway, thx for your help :)

A different save with 100% exploration of the main game would be identical to your own as only the ship logs are saved.

outer wilds doesn't have a progression system? the ship log just notes down stuff you already know as a recap, just play it again on the same save or read the stuff you already found

Yeah, but having some base game logs may change dlc ending a little.

To get the "full experience" of the DLC, you can clear your profile and first complete a few tasks:
- Visit Solanum on the Quantum Moon
- View the murals of the Vessel's arrival in the temporary settlement on Brittle Hollow
- Visit the core of the Interloper and read the logs
