Tower of quantum truth
Will I lost something if I go to the the Hour of Ash (where 8 statues) before get to Tower of quantum truth? Right now I am stuck and can't get to the Tower of quantum truth. Oh, I I tried all the clues I had to get there, but aii is vain.

I think you mean Ash Twin Project? But no, you won't lose anything going anywhere before anywhere else.

There is one thing you can miss out on if you "beat the game" before "solving" the Quantum Mystery, but you can also go back and do that later as well. You'll know when you're ready to "beat the game". You have to make a very intentional set of decisions.
(I just think it's more meaningful if it's done all at once.)

Oh, thank you both so much.
Yeah, I meant Ash Twin Project, different translation be damn.

It seems that the translation of the tower's name is not clear, at least to me. If you tell me which planet you mean I can try to give you a hint. I have not finished the game yet, though, and can't currently help with the tower on Brittle Hollow. However, on other locations, I might be able to.

If you want a hint for the tower:
Like many things in the game, getting into the Tower is a matter of timing.
More spoilery hint:
What happens on that planet over time that's unique?

Thanks, but I solved it yesterday by myself. Now is struggling with Quantum Moon. Love this game for its riddles.

I'm glad to hear that! It's so much more rewarding to bang your head against it until you figure it out for yourself!

Hell yeah, I spent time a lot of time trying to figure it out by using one idea or another, but I was so happy to solve it eventuanally. I really like logical riddles, this game is amazing by all aspects~

So did I. Might I ask what you tried? My attempts were Jetpacking (I knew that could never work, but what the hell), a slingshot round the black hole (which smashed me against the underside of the planet), both aimed at the visible upper part of the gravity floor. I even tried to get my ship between the colums at the tower "base", which does not quite fit.

Btw- if you love exploring, you might want to try the Myst series- very old, but very good. Especially Riven is incredibly hard (and so very satisfying when you finally work out something).

Hah, bro, I too tried to get my ship between the colums at the tower "base", which does not quite fit. xD
Then I tried to find some power switch to turn off the curtain on the windows, the one that disappears on the projection.
Then I scaned all the floor by my dron, trying to find some hole or exit.
Then I tried jetpacking too xD
I even tried to smash into the windows xD
I was walking on the spiral constraction around the tower and seeking the some hole.
I even found one strange tunnel, when you are going down by the spiral staircase, I hope it will open, when planet is damaged.
Finally, I was just waiting and LOOKING.

The more "fun" was my method to get to the quantum moon.

Thanks for recommendation, I'll look it, really. I often play old games.

Wow, you did try a lot! Some things, I did not even consider, as I had visited other places before Brittle Hollow and from experience, was sure they would not work like getting past the windows.

Ha, if it were a sensible option, I would lend you my Myst collection ;-) I fear, however, that they might not simply run on modern machines. Should you know any titles that are heavy on exploring, with little dexterity required and preferrably (mostly) unviolent, I'm eager to listen :-)

Have you played Return of the Obra Dinn? It's frequently referenced as another game that's all about information, and subsequently you wish you could forget it to play it again. Where Outer Wilds is about exploration and discovery, Obra Dinn is a mystery focused on investigation, deduction, and inference. That said, while your character doesn't commit any violence, there is much violence afoot. It's presented in a highly stylized, monochromatic palette, and each moment is frozen in time, which helps some, but there's definitely violence to be found. There's a demo, I think. Otherwise, I might edit this post with a link to a list of games that can scratch a similar itch, if I can find it.

Ok, this was my list of "Non-violent Games", though only a few of them are as heavily exploration-based:

Thanks for all recommendations and steam topic mentioned above, I found already a lot of games I didn't play yet.

I heard about this game, thanks for remind me about its existence. I like when gameplay is focused on deduction, induction and investigation.

Let me make one thing clear, I am not against violent games. I know where the line is between fiction and reality. Non-violent or violent - I don't care as long as it interesting and good story.

If it's no trouble x) What do you think about Myst (remaster)?

But, if the comparison also has a lot of limits I think the closest thing to it is "Subnautica".
Thanks, but survival oriented games are hard for me. I only play story-oriented games.

The 2021 remake of Myst is pretty good! If you've never played Myst, I think it's a fine way to experience the first installment. If there was another version to consider, I'd suggest realMyst Masterpiece Edition. Some of the puzzles in Myst 2021 are changed in minor ways from the original, and it doesn't (yet) contain the "bonus age" that's present in realMyst Masterpiece Edition. Aside from that, while Myst 2021 has the highest graphical fidelity and detail, some people prefer one visual style over another, as the mood of certain environments is changed somewhat between versions. Myst (2021) also supports VR, which was a big selling point for me.

For me, the myst series has not much to do with Outer Wilds, and even less when you compare the "exploration" part.
Apart from me the fact that the 2 games have what can be called riddles (or puzzles) they are very different, and even the puzzles are very different in nature.
But maybe we don't see things the same way
True, the Myst are very differnt from Outer Wilds. They do have some important things in common, though. You explore with little to no prior information and piece together what has happened. You are on your own, mostly, and while some Myst titles provide you with a goal, that can still prove to be rather vague. In short, what I find comparable is the feeling the games offer, and the quality (not the details of) the atmosphere.

As for the violence- I have no problem with it in video games, movies or books. But too many games rely on: Go to Castle Splattergore and slay all the Orks. Or they pretend not to, but if you try to move 5 meters across the map (crossing a desert, a jungle, and an arctic ocean on the way), you are kept busy for the next week with fighting critters ranging from mutated vermin to mechanical dinosaurs.

Return of the Obra Din, after what (little) I've read about it, seems to be nothing like Outer Wilds, but I think I might like it. I have been avoiding Subnautica because I have no interest in survival games, but if that is just a minor aspect of the game, I will give it a shot.

I agree that similarity is a point of view. It speaks for a game (or any kind of creative output) if it can, for some, be comparable to things that others feel are very different. Maybe that pushes some games into the range of *gasp* art.

Subnautica, btw, has been recommended to me by others and I guess it's time I try it.
