Updated "You'll Never Take Me Alive!" guide (Spoilers for DLC)

I managed to get the achievement, and recorded the last (albeit kinda unhelpful) 20 seconds of the successful attempt. Steps are:

1. Enter via damaged laboratory

2. Go to endless canyon

3. Extinguish lights via illusion painting and then light the bridge for access to main building

4. Cross the bridge and go down the stairs, then continue forward and to the right until you encounter more stairs leading down and to the left

5. Cross the gap via the hand, and get around the Owelk at the bottom, guarding the bridge

HERES THE IMPORTANT PART
You will not trigger the Owelks to start chasing you until you walk close enough to see their faces in your lantern light, or if you focus the beam at them. You can walk close enough to them to see the artifact in their hands, even with yours lighting up the area in front of you.

6. Go up the stairs behind the Owelk at the bridge, then hang left up another flight of stairs.

6 1/2. If you need to, drop the artifact and take a look around the upper area in wireframe mode. You will not trigger the Owelk in the restaurant unless you shine your lantern at them or touch them.

7. Go right around the central dividing wall and hang right until you get to the balcony you see at the beginning of the video .

8. Get yourself situated on the railing so you can walk off easily and then shine your light at the Owelk. It should approach and if you time it correctly (as shown in the video ) you should get the achievement when you walk off the railing.

Im so glad that 1) people are still getting use out of this and 2) it still works!

I’ll add some extra tips.

First of all: this is still working in 2025.

Second: in this path you will have to face two owls (the first one is the one you have to get around and the second one is the one you have to use for the achievement). I suggest you activate the fright mode to get around the first owl. It will make it incredibly easy. Then when you are in position to fall down turn off the fright mode and wait for the second owl to start running.

Then jump.

I finally got it thanks to both this guide and another one on youtube, which seems to be similar (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ErIbwusW4iM). I even had fright mode on when i got it. Thanks a lot!
