I can't think of any other game where all the puzzles are based on knowledge.
Also the loop mechanics is great even if a very few games uses that too (Zelda Majora's Mask for instance).
And the music is absolutely beautiful !
I hope Mobius will be able to offer us another masterpiece like this one some day.
Because this really feels like its own genre - there are puzzles, but they are exploration puzzles.
Most of them are just 'here's a place you haven't been!'
With at most an extra 'but the door is broken!' a few times
Yeah I think i set foot on each planet but I just dont understand where to go or what to do. Looked at the ships log and was even more confused. Id get to a cool area then I would just randomly die by the time limit or by some dumb gas or running out of fuel so I cant do anything.
Or you can track down the other explorers with the signalscope. Or just fly to a planet and land near anything that looks interesting.
Basically you just wander around learning about what might be going on for awhile, it doesn't all really start coming together for a long time since it's so nonlinear. Your ship's log can help a lot in terms of finding places to go and keeping track of where you've been.
