Quest2/Virtual Desktop user. Working? worth it? Guides?

I've had this on my wish-list for a while, but now I've set up VR with a Quest 2 using Virtual Desktop, I'm interested in taking the plunge and purchasing this game.
Is it straight forward to set up and run with this configuration?

Super simple. Download the Outer Wilds mod manager and from there you can download NomaiVR. The manager will install it automatically. Be aware that some files will be overwritten. I played it with Virtual Desktop and it's awesome.

Cheers man. Does it start in VR from the usually Virtual Desktop games menu? Or do you have to dive into other menus to get VR mode running?

Do you mind describing how to get this to work?

Are you launching OWL Mod Manager from Virtual Desktop's UI on the oculus quest?

i'm unable to get the game to display outside of a big "pancake like" screen on my Oculus Quest 2's Virtual Desktop
