VR graphics settings thread
Just downloaded the VR mod and it seems pretty great. Just my frametimes suck.

If you are using the VR mod, would you post here which GPU you use and what your settings are? Please also include frametimes. It does not need to be an exact number, just whether you are meeting frametimes or not with those settings. Once I've been able to dial in my own settings I will post them here as well.

Thank you in advance.

He pointed out that your comment is useless, which is a true fact.

It does require some solid steel vr legs, not gonna lie. But now that I've adapted, my vr legs are made of titanium.

On topic, I have a laptop rtx 2070 max-Q, and using high graphics settings I get 30-40 fps (reprojected to 120). It's suboptimal, but it's real pretty and I think that Outer Wilds handles reprojection better than fast paced games do.

Much appreciated, thank you. You seem to have a similar rig as mine as I have a 2070 as well. I am trying to dial in the settings with no reprojection at all, in order to establish a baseline. For the most part I try to avoid reprojection, but that is good news that this game handles reprojection better than others!

As for VR legs, yes those are pretty easy to acquire. It just takes a bit of determination which not everyone has.

Which HMD are you using? Index here.

I agree, however it's worth emphasising that you should never "power through" the feeling of queasiness in VR. Stop immediately and take a break. Small steps will eventually make your VR legs from iron.

100%. Otherwise you are just training your brain to react with instant nausea.

I try to be open-minded and educate myself before I open my mouth. With varying degrees of success ;)
