Broken door on surface of Ember Twin
On the surface of Ember Twin, there is a broken door under a natural bridge about halfway between the Gravity Cannon and the Escape Pod. I cannot figure out where this door can be opened from the other side nor what room this door is connected to.

There IS a broken door but it would be on the opposite side of the planet from those two landmarks. The GC and EP are closer with nothing remarkable between them.

Just to be clear, this particular door has the solar array above it, correct? It has a big power cable running in the rock over yonder?

If so, yes, that's a one-way door, just like the Southern Observatory on Brittle Hollow. And just like that location, you'll need to...oh, I dunno, really dig down to find it in yourself to keep exploring...good luck!

If it's the one I'm thinking of, think of it more as an exit than an entrance - it would be crazy difficult to work out where it leads without coming from there. The location isn't obvious but is on your rumour map, so you almost certainly will find it eventually.

You'll need to do some spelunking, let's put it that way.

If it's the door I think of, it opens from the other side.
Try to find a quick way to the main room where the sand slowly prevent you from accessing the lowest levels, and follow the path after the lowest door.

There are 2 such broken doors on that planet btw. idk if people are confusing one or the other. One is more obscure but much easier to open... I know that's the one you're talking about.

My door is definitely not the door you are talking about. It's closer to the EP than the GP; you'll see it if you travel from one to the other.
Your door is on the opposite side of the planet, and I know exactly what that door was for.

I've done everything on the planet (and now beaten the game). I'm sure it is an exit only to some other part of the exploration. So apparently that door isn't important, but it would be nice to know why it was there.

This could refer to the entire planet.

Just booted up the game and double checked, it is the one I was thinking of - and yep, it's the exit to a place you've been if you've explored everything already, though it is an exit some do miss

Answer: It's the exit to the Anglerfish Fossil Cave, if you use the gravity tunnel above the fossil

Ahh makes sense. I didn't have any fuel left to reach that exit, so I had to go back down, and I never bothered going back to that location.

I thought you were a new player so I didn't add spoilers, but yes, it's the Anglerfish cave door, the more obscure one. Likely, most players would never even realize it's there until they reach the Anglerfish bones. Some, not even after that. But the Anglerfish cave is easier to reach than the High Energy Lab.
Bobywan 24 ENE 2021 a las 8:46 a. m.
The anglerfish cave is not reached using the door. You can find writtings describing how nomai childten used to play there that will help you.
After that using your scout in the cave should help you find the path following its light.

Ah, ok, I found a couple more...or REfound them. Forgot.

Yeah, the exit to the Anglerfish and a door to the Stepping Stone Cave.
