Start with the Nomai Escape Pod and follow the trail they left there - once at the goal (The Sunless City) you can find a direct shortcut to and from the surface that will make everything a TON easier since it saves so much time! Nearly everything branches from the city, like the Anglerfish hint, and the Lab's entrance says the other route is from the city
Chert, the NPC, has never even heard ofthe city, so they wouldn't be able to tell you anything about it! They're more interested in the stars than the planets
The Black Hole Forge is over on Brittle Hollow rather than Ember Twin
The cave near Chert sadly does not branch from the city and is just "get there TURBO ASAP", though only the first section will fill up quickly, you can breathe easier once through that
For the White Hole Station, did you read the text that's on the projection stone as well as look through it in the pool? That's likely what's missing as it's only that and the writing next to the direction diagram to find
also cave from chad is very weird to navigate through ( did ye old stick to right wall strategy and only found 4 dead endings by spiky rocks, cant fly through either
Do all projection stones have writings included? never saw addidional hints...... oh my god the backtracking to those
sry about black hole forge, was very agitated when writing this, yet activating it doesnt seem to make a difference by floating it to the surface as i cannot enter it, nearby is a warp core receiver`? yet standing on it wont do much.....
literally one of the most important planets early on as you said and i thought this was an end-game planet smh
(if this doesn't help could you tell me the last sign you remember reaching down there? I'll try and work out where you're stuck)
The cave under Chert you've got the right idea! Either right or left, glue yourself to one side and you should only hit 2-3 dead ends then there's a tighly curved passage that's really difficult to see unless you approach from the sides, that leads around to the exit upwards - if you can see or hear a huge sand waterfall that's your first goal! Oh and put your scout down every so often, it's an amazing source of light
Projection stones are always near two sockets (the WHS one is the only one you need to take anywhere else) - one in a pool and the other will be nearby and next to a wall that'll fill with writing when you plug it in -- they do all have writing, and it'll probably help make sense of what they were for!
No worries, I'm more than happy writing hints XD You're absolutely correct there's a warp receiver up there, well recognised! That's the part most people get stuck on! But as it's a receiver, you've got to find the matching sender.. When you're able to reach the High Energy Lab, it'll help you with that
Don't sweat about whether it's endgame or not, everyone finds everything in a different order!
oh man it feels so good to progress again, who would have thought ember twin had quantum cactuars aswell xDD
Glad you're back on track!
