Are there any other games kinda like this?
This game has always looked so cool to me but the loop gameplay is really a huge turnoff for me. I'd love to play a chill adventure exploration puzzle game like this but without a time loop.

EDIT: Thanks for the recommendations! I'll be checking out Myst, Riven, and Obduction once I get paid!

The Myst series is pretty good. The first game has been remade a couple of times if you want something more modern, but most people agree its sequel Riven is probably the best in the series.

Was just gonna recommend Riven, while it helps to know the myst story, you could go in blind and be fine. It has some great world building and intricate puzzles in they style of outer wilds(minus physics), just made longer ago. I also recommend, and I've seen others here do so as well, the Return of the Obra Dinn.

The Witness and Obduction also come to mind if you want to stick to newer games too - these are all a bit more puzzle based and less exploration based though

Seconding the Witness! It's a great exploration and puzzle game with gorgeous environments and plenty of those golden "epiphany" moments that push the understanding of the game further as you play, which is the gold standard for an exploration game. Just... don't expect much in the lore department. Compared to Outer Wilds, the lore of The Witness is an absolute train wreck.

Definitely Myst, Quern or Obduction.

I cant recommend enough Quern. Every single puzzle that game has is wonderful. Obviously, The Witness and Talos Principle are a must-buy for puzzle game lovers, both of them have that twist, that moment of discovery that you also experience in the Outer Wilds.

That said, there is literally nothing like Outer Wilds: a space exploration-puzzle game set in a time loop, in which the only reward that you adquire by exploring is knowledge, and on top of that, with a fully developed solar system in which every planet has its own gravity, orbit, etc... This is a masterpiece unlike any other, so get ready to be dissapointed even after trying some of the games mentioned (which are masterpieces still, but again, Outer Wilds is just too special).

Oh wait, now that i check, it seems that you haven't played Outer Wilds, but want a similar experience without the time loop. Then those games are gonna blow your mind!

Thanks for the recommendations, y'all! I've already beat Talos Principle and loved it, and Witness is a bit too much for me to handle with remembering all the puzzle rules. I was actually thinking Myst might be fun so maybe I'll pick that up next paycheck, and then Riven after that.

I think I actually played Obduction a while back but had trouble with some of the puzzles, though maybe I'll give it another shot cause I'm sure I have it on some platform. Quern looks nice, too! I have Obra Dinn but I fell off it cause the lack of color makes it difficult for it to keep my attention for very long.

I don't know of any puzzle games but if you are looking for a chill space exploration game like this, a few suggestions are: Space engineers (it's more of a survival game but there are planets and asteroids to explore), No Man Sky, Space engine, and Megaton Rainfall.

Maybe try Antichamber, if looking for more on the puzzle side of things. It has pretty much no story (so don't expect any of that), but it's a good, trippy, mind-twisty exploration puzzle game.

Ooo, yes! Antichamber is a great game, with a ton of elements easily comparable to the quantum aspects of Outer Wild. Definitely worth looking into if you're a fan of the Tower of Quantum Knowledge section of Giant's Deep. Superliminal is another in the same vein worth looking into!

Superliminal was fantastic, but Antichamber's not really my bag.

Imo Subnautica has a similar exploration vibe

Games like Subnautica and Breathedge don't really do it for me either, but thanks for the recommendation anyway!

You're asking for a recommendation like that when you have Fez untouched in your library.

You don't need to buy new games; go play Fez right now.

Ehhhhh I tried Fez off-Steam a while back and it just didn't do it for me. I really prefer first person games, to be honest.
