And maybe a bit of text. Such as a farewell. At least I did not find any
There's a lot to consider about out that! Their technology was amazing but as far as spaceflight all they could build here was a giant party cannon, no doubt if they weren't limited to this system's resources they would have been able to make something far better
Question then is why they didn't consider fuel propulsion like the Hearthians used, was it out of environmental concerns (which they frequently mentioned), was it seen as too risky, too volatile, or just not elegant enough?
We don't see the gravity crystals or gravity rings technology on the Vessel or pods, it might have been a new discovery for them and they just wanted to make everything with it, kinda like the second they found the warp anomaly they were like HOW CAN WE USE THIS?
Spoiler tags for lore discussion in case anyone's not finished the whole game yet
Not quite it didn't activate when you or Hal were near it at first. While we were in the observatory was the exact moment it was found, hence why it activates as we are the only one near it after that point
Easily confirmed by starting a new profile and immediately visiting the PTM, the current probe is 9318054, same as the one which locates the Eye
They originally wanted the location to be reachable like suggested, but due to the current engine it sadly isn't possible
I really don't think they're too bothered about environmental concerns since they mined out your planet and actively attempted to make your sun go supernova.
Also - they do have shuttles.
Maybe if you're sending out 9 million of them, each on a predetermined trajectory, just firing them off seems a better option.
They give that impression at first but closer inspection says they're actually quite environmentally considerate!
They delicately moved all of the flora from Ash Twin as they excavated it, changed mining sites as soon as they found aquatic life (us), made sure to leave enough ore specifically for us to develop metallurgy and when the project was complete the sun would be nice and unexploded
The shuttles are almost unpowered, their launch velocity comes from the cannons, the only power they have is the gravity ring on the back that can slooooooowly pull you towards a planet, but not thrust! They probably had perfectly fine space travel before the crash, but not here T_T
If it's really random, there should be a chance for the peobe to crash on the village or on another planet.
It is random but sadly collision is turned off between it and most things in the solar system
One thing it can collide with? Your ship. It's a very explosive start to a loop!
I haven't seen it happen but I imagine it has every chance to splat the player if it hits you directly!
