Ah thanks for the info, I was unaware. I must not being paying attention as well as I should but I'll bust out the Epic version if anything weird happens on the Steam side. Good to know about the SteamVR not needing to be inactive with Epic version too.

Holy crap! Thanks man!!
Actually I'm not sure if Epic just recently changed the rules or if I just didn't check properly (I didn't buy yet) but in the UK I see that the £10 coupon can only be used for purchases of £13.99 or more, and Outer Wilds is at £12.99 so no go for me. I may still buy anyway, but £13 instead of £3 requires a bit more confidence/maturity in the VR implementation so I'll probably wait since I have no desire to touch the pancake version.
Yeah I thought the same thing, but it seems Epic don't actually have a shopping cart to buy more than 1 item at a time. DISAPPOINTED!
ffs... that's just lame! I think the name EPIC may be used in irony!! Sorry man.
I finally took the plunge and installed the OWMM. The process went smoothly, and no problem in getting updates and getting the game started (as long as you follow the instructions). So far the VR portion of the game crosses somewhere between Lone Echo and Super Mario Galaxy, and I am having a marvelous time.
I am playing with an i7-8700, 16GB RAM and a GTX 1070Ti with a Valve Index. Performance seems to be relatively the same, regardless if I choose a 80 or 90 Hz refresh rate. Smooth locomotion is just that...smooth. Smooth turning, on the other hand has some noticeable jitter, but is impacted by how much is going on in the background. Strangely enough, physical turning is fantastic and has no jitter what so ever.
The latest VR update (V0.54?) has some noticeable improvements in the controls, and represents an improvement compare to the first time I played (V0.48). So far the only confusing controls is when I press 'left A' and use the right joystick to rotate myself up/down/roll; I occasionally wish the up/down controls could be switched (I can deal with how they are, but keep thinking in terms of airplane up/down controls).
Thank you so much for this wonderful VR addon.
Pretty sure there are in-game options for inverting this? They're supposed to affect VR too.
Glad to hear that you're enjoying the mod otherwise.
What's still on your to-do list for it?
