got myself killed within first 5 minutes by the geysir - restart
managed to get my character stuck within first 10 minutes of the game, by jumping around at rooftops - restart

this will be fun...

Just a heads up the ending of the game is nearly impossible if you dont have a controller. i spent a good 8 hours ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ my pants in that area trying to make it work with keyboard.

Eh, if you just reach the moment when you get to space you wont have to restart the game if you die or get stuck.
"You are dead" only appear if you didnt move the main "story" forward by even just one step.

The game is a bit rough about that when starting for the first time, since it only creates the save after you finish the tutorial area and either die, or stay alive for at least 20 minutes. Fortunately, nothing you do in the tutorial area is a prerequisite to anything (except 1 or 2 extra dialogue choices), so you can quickly walk back to to point you were prior to the restart and keep going.

played for like an hour, started the ship, landed on the closest moon, still no savepoint

way to ruin an interesting game ... retardedevs everywhere u look...

Well, the universe of this game is pretty small so that is the developer's way of artificially making the game longer (and more frustrating). Lack of manual saving is the primary reason why I've refunded, first "exploration" game I've played where you can't save unless you die.

But like... what is there to save exactly?

Only thing i can think of is your Ship Log and that updates and saves as soon as you find/read something even if you die or quit the game.

There's no inventory and nothing in the game is persistent or really even needs to be aside from the Log.

It saves every single time you see "Ship log updated", which is every time you read or visit anything useful/important

The only exceptions are in the very first loop, if you don't reach a certain point in the prologue, or if you quit before dying/looping once

Re: controller - I've had an issue where I needed to unplug a gamepad entirely, but besides that I've played the entire game on mouse+keyboard without issue, the section you're talking about (and one other) are easier with analogue controls but definitely possible without!

You hit the save-point when the statue turned and looked at you after the tutorial area, friend. Any additional info you find is saved whenever you see "Ship Log Updated".

Regarding the controller -- it's possible to beat the game without a controller. I know the part you're referring to, and you actually can get it without one. A controller feels very nice and natural for a game like this, where you don't need quick aiming.

I did that route some 5 or 6 times by now with a keyboard. I get what you're saying, but if you know the path and know how to quickly tap the keys you can get it done relatively easy.

Nope no start codes, start from beginning... RETARDGAMEDESIGN
RunForRest Jun 25, 2020 @ 4:11am
within 2 hours no progress and the game has already killed any curiosity in me to explore because it seems it takes hours to get to a proper, non communicated, unknown "safepoint". In the previous run i talked to everyone, explored everything, when the statue looked at me i saw all that in reverse. Now i just ran up to the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ observatory to get the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ codes. Now what? What am i supposed to do to get a proper savepoint??
