New character unlocking

So in update 1.7.0 i noticed they added a new character and i was wondering if anyone knew how to unlock them and what they did?

There are actually two new characters. One is unlocked by beating the new zone locked behind the new questline, and the other is unlocked by using mystic 20 or dimension vault to bring the Livna legendary sword back to town.

The one unlocked via the Livna sword has special health regen mechanics involving high damage per hit, a retribution mechanic involving an automatic counter attack for high damage after being hit (on cooldown), and a -20% to attack speed to balance things out.

i beat the boss but i did not get the character

never mind i had to talk to the npc i got them

I brought Livna back with me, but it didn't unlock the new character. Is there some sort of condition along with bringing back the sword, like playing on a certain difficulty or beating the true final boss along with getting the sword?

The livna mechanic is a bit buggy. Try using mystic instead of dimensional vault to bring it back, and just go into the dungeon and leave (taking it with you each time) repeatedly. It works eventually for everyone else who had the same issue.

Mystic 20 is actually what I used to bring Livna back (had it maxed because Blood of Sorbos is awesome), but I'll give it another shot

Also brought back Livna using mystic 20 and did not get the character, second run I was dumb and upgraded the Livna so couldn't take it back :, ) Have to try to get it again

I had both mystic AND dimensional box bringing back 2 items, sword among them. Didn't get new character either. Yup, buggy.

I think I found the "bug". You have to be high enough difficulty level (at least 5 I think) to trigger new character when returning the sword. Lower level or no difficulty level doesn't seem to trigger new character reward.
