what does the watchtower in the village do

there is an npc named Albert on it and ime not sure if it does anything

Building the watch tower unlocks the new "focus" skill tree in the training center. Besides that and being able to talk to Albert, it doesn't do anything else.

By the way you scroll through the skill tree via the bar at the bottom. I didn't find Focus or Bloodlust until way after I unlocked them since I never saw the bar. Just FYI
