How does Rosen work?

When you pray to Aegis, do you lose levels and skill points? I'm a bit confused about it and I don't want to spend my levels for a simple boost.

If you are Level 30 you can pray at the shrine in town and go pack to Level 1 but gain an Aegis Level. There are 5 Aegis Levels in total, each one requiring you to reset back to Level 1 from Level 30 to achieve it.

Each Aegis Level provides a unique set of buffs to your character and 1 additional skill point. So after you do it the first time you will be Level 1 with 2 skill points.

To maximize your character you need to get Aegis Level 5 and then level your character to Level 30 again. This will give you 35 skill points. I hope this helps.

Yes. Level 30 is the maximum experience level you can get. Once you hit 30 going through the dungeon will not give you any more experience.
