Dig spots almost exclusively found in desert

It seems like this has been a big problem for a lot of people and it seems like this bug has been around for a really long time, but it still needs to be fixed. I'm having a ton of trouble progressing at this point because I can't find relics. I'm trying to use shrines, but I really can't wait 45 minutes per shrine to reset just because it didn't feel like giving me what I need when this shouldn't be a problem in the first place. Please please please please please fix this as soon as possible.

I'm likewise having this difficulty. You can force the game to temporarily spawn the digging spots in other biomes if you dig up the entire desert very quickly, but this is only a handful before they start all spawning in the desert again

I'm also seeing this bug. It appeared for me after I purchased the island with flowers in three corners and a chest when you dig up the last corner . Now I only see dig spots underneath flowers that grow in the desert.

Yep, same issue, from when I first starting playing the game. Not sure why they aren't fixing these bugs :(

Although I can't guarantee that this will work for everyone, I found a slight fix. Try digging up as many of the dig spots in the desert as possible, you may have to break trees and rocks to get to them. After that, they should start spawning elsewhere.

I've found that covering the desert in flooring after digging up all the spots works as a longer term fix, but also stops the rest of the desert stuff from spawning
