eye statue

shot the eye statue with an upgraded bow. it did not complete the puzzle
I've looked it up what I am supposed to do, but everybody shoots the statue with a basic bow

I shot it with the ice staff and it worked. Did not know bow was the right thing to do^^°

i have the same problem, i have the fully upgraded demonic bow and it still doesn't work

edit- now have also tried with all 4 rods, basic and upgraded forms. still didn't work. wtf

Guys my friend just encountered this issue, it turned out we needed to remove the bridges we had placed on the 8 water blocks that spawned at the top and bottom corners of the area the statue is in.

How do I remove bridges? i can't figure out how to interact with them, just wacking them with the pickaxe doesn't work.

I've noticed that cursor placement with bridges and pickaxes seems a bit more fiddly since this update, but whacking the bridge with the pickaxe is how they're removed you just have to be positioned perfectly - character can't be the slightest bit on the bridge and cursor must be wherever the sweet spot is.

Oh okay, it makes sense if it's a pixel hunt because sometimes you have to fight on top of a bridge and it would be bad if you kept destroying them accidentally.

EDIT: I think bridges may be bugged. If I move the cursor over the bridge tile I can hear an occaisional "TINK" sound when the pickaxe hits something, but I can't figure out exactly where that spot is. If you are supposed to hold the cursor in a particular spot it must be really tiny.
