Royal Clothing-help

I have the sewing station and have obtained the royal clothing a few times bur everytime i try to use it it only allows me to discard it.. ive tried going in the Wardrobe tree to use it but it still doesnt work. I cant find any videos that talk ab it.. idk if its a glitch or if im somehow doing it wrong plz lmk

Uh, it's not an item you directly use. It's a crafting ingredient.
