Do pickaxe upgrades apply to other tools/weapons?
Does anyone know if pickaxe upgrades apply to other tools and weapons, for example if i destroy a bunch of resources with a bomb or the lightning rod or if there destroyed by mining rods will they drop extra stuff?
also do resources still drop extra stuff if there destroyed my explosions created by the pickaxe?

I don't understand the second part of your question, but for the first part: No, the upgrades of one tool do not apply when using other tools/items in its place. One nice thing I didn't catch on to right away though is that when you upgrade a tool, the upgrades stack on previous upgrades. So you're not replacing your pickaxe with a better, different pickaxe, but rather adding the properties of the new upgrade to all the others and combining them.

Thank you for your response, i always liked using the lighting rod to mine resources but now that i know this maybe i'll just use my pickaxe instead.

What i meant was if a resource is destroyed by an explosion created by mining another resource with a void pickaxe will it still drop extra stuff like it would if mined with the pickaxe itself.

I've always noticed that, but thanks for pointing it out all the same.
