lighthouse what are they suppose to do?

so I been using lighthouse I started with one didn't change a thing then I try 2 again din't change a ting hen a third one and I still don't see a single increase in drops (ps yes I farm in the triple lighthouse area of effect) from digging, to mining, mob killing. the only thing that is boosted is the fish traps giving me 3x the loot so 3 fish or algue every time but nothing else
other then that is it wrong?

Pretty sure you should still get more wood (from trees), stone, iron/gold ingots, sand (from digging), flowers (and other plants), ...

Lighthouses effects are also kinda exponenttial: the more you have, the stronger the effect, and it go very high fairly quickly.
