I had the same issue. It ran fine until one day it just went into slo mo mode. Go into your graphics settings in windows, nvidia control panel if you have nvidia. You then can set the program forager to limit the fps to 60 and you will be back to normal again.

From a google search it seemed like this has been a problem for a long time and I wouldn't expect the dev to fix it. This fix at least is a one and done and you won't have to worry about it again.

I really don't know why they don't pin that for people to see. A lot of people seem to be having this issue with the game.

Same and the game gets sloooooooow. I haven't played in awhile, so it's a small island. Only happens when a slime is active, The game is pretty much unplayable with the low fps/slow speed.

I also get a slow down to exactly 4 FPS. Seemingly randomly. Tried disabling settings and didn't work. Very frustrating. This is a fun game but impossible to play when the lagging starts.

Had the same drop in FPS to about 25 frames, but only when my cauldron was on screen. Destroyed it and BAM! back up to 60 fps.

Fix for anyone else that worked for me.

Windows key+R --> %localappdata% --> Forage folder --> Delete config file --> start game.

No thanks necessary

I had the same issue and spent an evening trying to tweak the game to fix it. The problem wasn't the game, it was my computer. Follow the instructions in the two videos below to fix it.

The game runs fine for me. As "NeinNoNon9" said maybe it's your computer.

Setting my monitor to 60hz instead of 144hz "fixed it" for me

Not a problem. I always try to post it in these topics which seem pretty frequent. There might be other solutions but you should never have to touch your registry to fix a game. A lot can go wrong when you start fiddling with that.

Also, yeah you can change your monitors frequency each and every time but the way I put forth allows you to never have to change your resolution as its all based on a per app basis.
