Golden eggs?

How do you get them? I assumed they would be from chickens but I tried and got nearly 1 thousand eggs, so I'm starting to doubt that.

You do get them from chicken but they' re extremely rare. I got one on my 600th try so I guess they have a 0.2-0.1 % chance of dropping?

Definitely from chickens just that they're rare. Got mine today after looting possibly 200+ eggs.

yeah i'm with timeternal, i'm near 1000 eggs and haven't gotten a golden egg yet. /shrug

I got 4 golden eggs after feeding them animal feed. (around 30 feeds).

or you could just buy one from the market. thats how i got mine.

I my first one from a market, but you can also get them from a slot machine. I also get a few from chickens every now and then, which i just sell

I got two golden eggs with 100 harvests.
I thought the drop rate was between 1 and 2 percent.

I've gotten two since then.
They 'are' rare but if you try for them exclusively for about thirty minutes you probably will get one.

yeah this is how i got my 2nd golden egg, had the option to get a droid from skull alter, and it started auto harvesting wildlife. eventually got a 2nd one.

would be neat if they could be used for something other than money, maybe a potion ingredient or scroll that forcibly refreshes the shops?

I always thought they would be used in an alchemy recipe, but they are merely money and trophies.
