It's still in Early Access and I have no clue whether it's any good, but it has a demo.
Well, that's a helpful contribution ... ;)
Name them at least and explain why, if you think you have something wothwhile to add.
You still haven't provided an explanation as to the how. But yeah, all these suggestions are just approximate, as is expected in such threads. And I explicitly state that "they have these crafting aspects, too, but also play quite differently" (Subnautica is even further away from it than Slime Rancher, IMO, btw). Those are just games I know that share *some* similarities with Forager, mostly because they have resource gathering and crafting as a central theme. Frankly, I don't know any game that plays exactly like Forager. If you do, naming them would be more helpful to the OP than dismissing others' suggestions, is all I'm saying. ;)
-The digging mechanic, dungeon designs, fairies/bottles, many of the items, and treasure chests are straight out of Legend of Zelda, a Link to the Past
-The museum bundles, sprinkler system, mill, and fishing borrow from Stardew Valley
-The automation, production stacking/buffing system, and droids borrow from Factorio
-The livestock mechanics and perhaps the void/biome system borrow from Minecraft
-I guess there are some Terraria elements in Forager but I'd say that's a stretch
These are just games I've played, and I'm sure Forager borrows the other stuff I didn't talk about from other games. You can't say another game is like Forager because it's a grab bag game, a hybrid, a Frankenstein's monster.
