Possible to get a DRM free copy?

I've purchased this on Steam but I'd like to play on my MacBook.

There is no native MacOS version but it runs great under CrossOver (Windows "emulator"). Currently you have to re-install Steam inside CrossOver and then install Forager, but if I had a DRM-free version it would be easier to play it w/o launching Steam on the MacBook.

The game is available DRM-free on GOG.com. I've read complaints that the version is not up-to-date but they seem to be outdated themselves. From what I can see it seems to be at least at v4.1.8 now, possibly even at v4.1.9 like on Steam (but I found no mention of that).

EDIT: Looks like the DRM-free offline installer is at v4.1.8, so slightly outdated again, but not by much.

Its at 4.1.8 but we've heard literally zero input, and only found out when a update was pushed to us. Its like deliberate ignoring of the gog platform consumers like myself and others, that makes me question. Especially given they only care for steam customers first before anything else. Kinda should speak volumes there.

Edit: Also gonna point out the cash grab that is the multiplayer testing. Their charging folks a monthly subscription fee of $15/$50/mo just to beable to test (with limited testing) only open to folks on steam from the looks of it since thats where the update will push first. Kinda a joke. Makes you really consider it given folks who shell out the most money are considered top loyal fans over others. Just something worth considering when you buy.

Forgot to mention that your not allowed to have your Inboxing privatized, if a mod/dev wants to message you their free to kick you out of the community for not accepting unwanted privatized messages. Weird aint it?
