Lost pet... Impossible to find it...

Well, as the title says... I lost my pet for many days now and it is LITERALLY impossible to find. I have destroyed everything and checked behind big tree/buildings, etc... and I can't find it..

Please help me, because it is annoying to pick up everything myself from the floor..

When did I lose him ? not sure ... sometimes I just go crazy shooting everything to get drops asap. But, what I do remember (I think), is that I had him before getting into the graveyard tower where I got a dron then, by the end of it, I noticed that I had no pet, then I thought maybe I will get it back when going out. I remembered that pets don't go in with you. But when I got out, I still had NO pet !

Basically, He is not present on the base map... I didn't really check within the graveyard tower because I believe it refreshs every time you get in. And what definitely doesn't help is that it is a chicken...

So, again, please help T_t ..... I went from tile to tile destroying every single object and I couldn't find it

If you press E on the pet, you will tell it to stay and it will shrink slightly smaller. I thought I lost my pet for a while too until I found it sitting where I unintentionally left it. Pressing E on it again will tell it to follow.

I know about pressing E. But, before pressing E, I need to find the pet first...

I am actually dealing with void atm. I am kinda close to end game so.. but I would like to have my pet

I don't think the pet ever goes into any of the towers/dungeons with you.
I had this happen to me too. I thought my pet had, like, despawned after I went into and came out of a tower. I used several thunder potions wrecking everything on the map, island by island, to no avail.
What really happened in my case was: When I was clicking (I use gamepad, not that it probably matters in this case) on my group of Banks, the pet was in between buildings and I accidentally told it to stay there (which I didn't know was a thing until after I found it. I thought clicking it was just petting it because the hearts) but I didn't know about it.

So... if you haven't very carefully gone in between all your buildings to make them go semi-transparent to see through them and check if your pet is there, I'd recommend trying that.

edit: Oops. Sorry for telling you to do something you said you already tried. Also kill all the chickens. If one is immortal, that one is probably yours.
