Demo Forager build
Hi, i just want to share with you guys two interesting ways how to play the game before you are able to buy one copy for you (or while you are waiting for a respond from HopFrog when you won one free key as me).

You can play the demo as you want to but in the terms of idle play as i think many of you want to play a game later on that way there are probably only two interesting paths.

1) Firstly
there is a combination of getting passive income from Banks while you are getting resources for more of them passively with Mining Rods. It's probably the fastest way, because you really need only three islands unlocked (for spawning three resources per spawn tick [5s]).
Just you have to be really careful when you are afk like me for ten hours. You have to build some relatively safe bridges because slimes keep spawning forever as you can see on screenshot. It's good to reduce their numbers because after 10 hours of idling the game start playing only on like 40fps which slows down the game speed because game speed is somehow locked together with fps so if you can play the game on 144fps you play the game 2.3 times faster than other people which means you get items faster.
Also don't forget to idle in your inventory, because mobs are not attacking while you are in some sort of inventory. And don't buy more than three islands because you don't get any extra resource spawning. And with four islands that stupid bull starts spawning which will be dead end.
Also don't worry if the slimes kills you. Game just restarts and you can continue where you ended, just killing the slimes out. You may avoid them just by having one island but you will sacrifice two extra resource spawns per tick which you get with three islands so you will need to spend three more time afk to be able to build as many banks as I have. But you can be afk forever without any fps drops.

Game looks like that after total 16 hours of playing which 14 of them i was afk.

2) Secondly
there is a combination of getting passive resources from Mining Rods while the Balistas are taking care of annoying mobs. It's way less effective gameplay because all you really need in this game are probably coins because you just don't have enough skill points to do anything else interesting.
Also i found out you can buy only ten lands so you are kinda stuck. I didn't know it and didn't test what types of islands are better than others and which way is better to spend your limited islands on but over all it does not matter because you will be stuck at some point anyway.
Big plus here that you can be afk as long as you want and the game will be still running smoothly because Balistas are killing all that infinite spawning monster cr@p. But it comes down with a price you won't be able to get as much money this way BUT you don't have to deal with any monsters. Also it seems like we get no more extra spawns even with ten islands so it's way less profitable than banks from the first one yet safer.

Game looks like that after total 6 hours of playing which 3 of them i was afk.

Hopefully the game will have some interesting end-game content because if you can hoard thousands of resources and thousands of coins even in the demo there must be some challanging end-game content to look forward to or otherwise the game will feel boring after few days of idling because you will be able to just buy and unlock everything just in few hours of letting the game playing it self.

Great writeup! I am planning to actually upload an updated demo build to the Steam page itself, so you won't need to go into itch.io anymore!

It's a very interesting strategy you have here. It makes me remember that time a few people attempted the single-island run. Maybe we should include a built-in single island mode as a challenge once you beat the game or get specific achievements?

Also, please add me to friends so I can send you your key! :steamhappy:

I'd do a write up too but you wouldn't like it.

You should do it! Any constructive feedback is useful!

i did the following:

i went market and rods (i think its automatisation)

that way you should theoretically be able to even finish the collection (if everything the collection requires becomes available in the market)

i wanted to try it but then i ended up in the spike death endless loop and didn´t want to start over again;

Edit: i think advance market
