How in the world to get gold egg?

Title. I have gotten over 2-3 thousand eggs at this point and no golden eggs..

I'd highly recommend use Liquid Luck! It helps in finding the rarer items, and of course, animal feed so you can just spam on the chickens for it!

I have tried the liquid luck method but without any luck. Can the eggs appear in the shops?

It took me ages to get a golden egg as well
I found one chicken that couldn't escape and shoved ~400 animal feed in it while having the liquid luck buff
It dropped one/ two golden eggs :D

Generally get some drones, pop liquid luck, and you'll get one (or more) eventually over time.

Edit: also use animal lures (made in the wind mill). They for critters to spawn near it. If you're on PC, there's also the animal corral mod.
