How do I pin a recipe for something like a quarry?

I think it's ridiculous that I even have to ask this.

First go into the build menu and select which building recipe you want to pin. The quarry's "Pin Recipe" button goes a bit off screen, so try checking others and clicking in the same general area. If you did this correctly, the recipe should appear on the top right of your screen.

So you have no idea how to do it either then.

I hope the developer fixes this.

I'm ok with downloading mods to improve QoL stuff. I'm not ok with downloading mods to circumvent bugs. The developer needs to fix this.
