Report a translation problem
in case if you are on windows what I did is to SHARE the folder %LOCALAPPDATA%\Forager (right click on the folder and "share" then select everyone, readonly) which was faster than anything else I could think off
but it's a much needed feature!
Multiple users are reporting to have the same problem here and the developer claims "it's not our fault" without any supporting info and calls it a day... Seriously, I love this game and can't stop playing it but if this is the way you are going to deal with problems I will very gladly uninstall/refund and never look back.
We have no code within Forager that handles the cloud, none of this is on our end and there isn't anything we can do about it. I do not handle that sort of stuff, that is all on HopFrogs end and he is currently not around to work on this.

...Sigh, given that
- Multiple users are reporting the same problem
- Not all steam games are having the same problem (conservatively speaking)
It'd be really hard to not believe that something is wrong on the game side. (Like, https://partner.steamgames.com/doc/features/cloud is public documentation. We know that at least something is on your end to make cloud sync work, be it auto or not)
As someone mentioned above, if you are going to list Steam Cloud support on the game details it is YOUR responsibility to verify that it works. I understand the frustration of not being able to provide a solution (and that Steam integration is probably not the most interesting part to the developers) but as PR please either be more transparent or stop bluffing it off. ("Hey, I've reported this issue + thread to our programmers" as you said in the other thread yesterday would have probably been better?)
...Eh I should stop ranting. Will take your word and wait for HopFrogs' response on it.
