Stardew is more of a life simulator whereas this one is just meth and crack levels of addiction
Edit : in Forager you don't have farm or something like this .
The Goal of Stardew obviously is to farm and meet the NPCs and have a life inside while completing the community hall.
Forager is a casual game where you harvest resources on islands. Leveling up... Upgrading your skills allowing you to get more islands and automation. Then theres the completionist factor of the game. Where you need to complete everything including in order. Get all the tools and so on. It plays like a top down Zelda game with an overly simplified way of automating
I would say buy it if you want to play it. It's worth it if you want something to do.
It has all of the right loops that suck me in. It's sucked away 12 hours of my life in a blink.
I love Stardew Valley but this isn't really anything at all like that.
