How do quarries work, exactly? I get that they make ore, but do they only make ores for the island that they're on? What happens if you connect islands with landfill? If so, do they create a limited number of ores?

Quarries will make any & all ore. They will fill the island they are put on pretty well with resources. Doesnt matter if you connect islands, itll still only spawn ore on the island it is placed. It seems to work on a cooldown. Idk the exact number but say spawn 25 rocks every charge. Just throw it on an island, setup 2-3 mining rods and enjoy the flow of resources!

I'm still trying to work out some specifics. Like... 1 quarry and 2 rods for every single island?

Just build it and enjoy the game. This is not a rocket science. If your rod can't eat that much ores then just build another one. You can also get the laser skill upgrade to boost the rod/droids power.

I want to maximize the amount of use I get out of every quarry and every mining rod. That's how I enjoy games like this most of the time, so I'm going to figure out if I can determine the exact rules for quarries.

old topic, but first that came up on google. it spawns nodes on the entire island, so pick a big one with lots of space, and if possible expand it with landfill from the flower press. i filled out two lands, put them in range of power plants, with 8 total mining rods. they're mine adjacent lands too. then just start pumping out marketplaces and buying droids. much easier than making them, i can't even see myself from all the droid spam.
