How to farm late game items?

Does anyone know a way to farm the items you need to get the upgraded rods (lightning, ice, fire, death)?

I have fish traps in the ice and desert areas but they barely catch anything besides basic items. Also i dig on every dig spot i can find but I never get any special items from them.

All my tools are either top tier or right before top tier and so the upgraded rods are the last thing i really have to do besides maybe max out droids and make a drill.

Lighthouse:the area living things drop more items

Plop down one or two shrines in each biome and cycle them for the Excavator buff. That thing spawns like 100 dig spots per activation.

Build a bunch of markets and check them whenever they restock. I found that the fastest way to get some of the artifacts.
