Can't escape the key rebinding or 'extras' menu, help!

I enter they key rebinding menu.

I'll play around a bit...

I'll just leave the rebinding screen... you can't!

No key goes back to the options menu.

This is the same for the 'extras' menue. There is NO WAY to get back to the main menu

This is broke and needs fixed.

escape does nothing. I repeat, it does nothing.

You need to hold down the "Reset to Default" key. In the future, we will make it more clear that you are supposed to hold down the button

holding that down resets your keys to default but still doesn't get you out of the menu.

You're perpetually stuck in limbo there.

Update:
Resetting three or so times, finally made esc work properly.
Why, I have no clue.

Why not just have a button - back?
Wouldn't that be so much easier?

Here's the full deal.
If you change the what the default 'esc' key does, it takes 'that key' to close out and return to the main menu.
This is kind of silly.

Okay, I change esc to 'q' because I like using 'e' and 'q' for 'use' and 'open inventory/menu'.
Changing 'esc' to 'q' means I have to use 'q' to leave the options menu and return to the title screen.

I feel this is a huge oversight.
