[Combat Beta] I'm confused, how do I access the void?

Prior to switching to the beta I had everything unlocked. I managed to find many new items in the world as well as the market but so far I haven't figured out how to access the void to gain new void material. I'm so lost.

I've seen the new merchant selling Void Portals/Void Gates or something like that.
I supposed they are used for that.

I bought a Void Gate but it's just a random door you can open and go through but nothing happens. Haven't seen portals yet.

So we have to rely on RNG to get a portal?

There's no RNG, although the secret merchant does occasionally sell void portals. You can craft it from the magic path (i think sigil maker or soul forge), and then place in down. Voids gates are part of the new building materials, like the walls, etc.
Be more worried about void roses, I don't know anybody who has one yet

You need to use a Void Portal to spawn the new biome.

Right now you can buy Void Portals from the secret merchant, you can craft them at Sigil Makers (Magic structure) or possibly get them as rewards from the Slot Machine!
