Hands disappearing and then never coming back? (Quest 2)
Does anyone face this issue where their hand will disappear and will just stay in place and never return to your body? I am using a Quest 2 connecting to PC with Steam Link and my friend is facing the same issue.

Unfortunately I have no idea how to replicate this issue, it just happens randomly. Still haven't found a reliable way to get the hand back unless I fully restart. Worst part is it is impossible to play since you cannot reload.

Anyone know a fix? :(

Hey did you find a solution? The same thing is happening to me but only the right controller. I am using a quest 3 with steam link. It is repeatable in my case, and only happens in an active game. It is stable and usable in the lobby for whatever reason.

So I noticed that both in the menu of Steam VR and Oculus it could detect my controllers perfectly fine, but not the game. The only conclusion I could come to is maybe the game is somehow trying to track my hands instead of my controllers? So I went into Oculus settings and I found a setting called like "Double tap to enable hand mode" or something and since turning it off I've only had 1 issue with my hands disappearing, and that was 3 days ago.

I don't want to say this is THE fix as I have no proof if this has actually improved my issue or I've just gotten lucky as of recent, but you might as well give it a shot and let me know your experience with it.

A friend of mine found that if the headset or controllers leave the guardian area it happens. If you stay in the guardian it is fine.

Did anyone figure this out completely? It's definitely happened when not leaving my boundry, and it's violently interesting and completely game breaking.

I wouldn't say this is 100% accurate. Yes I agree I lose it when I leave the guardian, but it also disappears while in it. I *think* it's when your camera loses line of sight of your controllers.

I would give the disabling hand tracking a try, it seemed that when I played last it happened significantly less but it wasn't an 100% reliable fix. But I have no idea if this is pure coincidence and I just got lucky with them not disappearing.

Another possible cause is bad Bluetooth connection between controllers and PC.
I just got a PS VR2 with PC adapter and got freezing/disappearing hands/guns quite often. Even with a TP-Link UB500 Bluetooth adapter. Need to look for another more reliable Bluetooth adapter.

Same issue. PC, Quest 3, Steam Link. Right controller just seems to get stuck unless I press menu, then it moves to where it should be, and then when I close menu it's stuck there now.

Very frustrating. I'll try turning off hand tracking.

Have you tried taking out the batteries in your controllers and putting them back?
It works with my G2 controllers
