Worth it as a solo player?

I got a VR headset for christmas and have been loving it. Loved Arizona Sunshine so I went ahead and bought this too, since it's from the same team.

I'm reading reviews and seeing that it's not fun at all as a solo player. Is this true? I don't really like playing co op in these types of games. I'll also probably play on the lowest difficulty. Is it worth playing alone? If not, I'll probably refund it.

I played solo today, and the game added 3 AI players to help me out. So it was fun instead of doing the game 100% alone. I assume if you always start a mission alone, it will spawn AI chars to help you.

You can play solo, but realistically only on the lowest difficulty.

Random co-op is fun and easy. You can join a public lobby so you don't need to know anyone. Just turn off voice chat and pretend they are really good AI players if that helps.

You can play through every level solo (with bots) on the lowest difficulty, but this isn't a story-driven game and the experience won't feel very rich. It doesn't really get fun until higher difficulties, with other players. Even the best game in the genre--L4D2--I wouldn't recommend to anyone planning to play solo, and that game has more variety and much smarter bots.

Worth it as a solo player? Generally i do not recommend it as solo player game. I don't usually like online games like this, but this game convinced me otherwise. And online is in most cases much fun and many runs feel like a solo play because the people do not talk and if they do you can mute them. :)

I've been playing for a bit now and it's good fun, but even with 2 people getting to Master difficulty (which is the 3rd out of 5) is very hard and something you can only complete when you are really good, or are really lucky. Upgrades are locked behind higher difficulty, so effectively, if you play the game solo, you get 2/5th of the game you would get if you had 4 people.

Is it worth to play? sure! is it worth to buy? not even close unless it's like 5 bucks.

I just played the first level first time ive played on veteran and beat it easy didnt even take damage and had tons of bombs n other stuff. What great fun it was aswell, smooth gameplay, I had a blast
