Then you did not apply the adult patch correctly. Everything in the Menu should be unlocked.

The File you download from Illusion is an self-extracting archive named 'vrkanojo_steam_ex.exe'

You run the .exe and an (unfortunately) Japanese dialog box pops up. It's just asking you a directory to extract to. Bottom left button is OK, right is cancel.
If you have issues with the Japanese dialog you can also open the .exe file in 7zip and extract it that way.
Next go to the directory you extracted to. There should be a 'vrkanojo_steam_ex' folder with an 'abdata' folder and various readme's inside.
Copy the 'abdata' folder over the one in your games directory. DO NOT delete the original before copying as it contains important game files.
If you have trouble locating your game files, follow the instructions in this link:

No. This is not the case at all. I unlocked the 3 menu options before even getting past the drinking water scene.

Oh, maybe you just have to start the story then? I didn't check the menu until after i finished it. Figured it was one of those games where you had to complete the story to unlock stuff.
Either way, it's unlocked lol.
I have tried to figure out how it works either by completing the tutorial or doing specific parts of the game. Nothing i have done has shown any kind of effect on those 3 menu options.

Well, I can confirm the tutorial probably has nothing to do with it. My whole process was:
Uninstall/reinstall game > install patch > start story mode.
After completing story mode, I checked the menu and found the options unlocked.

The very first time i loaded up the game, i assumed extracting the archive into the game's directory was the thing to do. Without moving the folder into the correct location. When you are asked to unhook Sakura, she went from wearing underwear... to fully clothed ... "wait wot?"

I then exited the game and looked up the correct method for installing the patch and noted you needed to move the folder into the correct location and promptly did that. I loaded up the game again... and bingo, all 3 menu options unlocked and i was able to view the adult features.

Inexplicably my PC crashed (still have yet to figure out why as hard lockups are extremely rare for me) and from then on, no matter what i do, i am unable to restore the adult patch. Uninstalling, deleting the entire game directory, reinstalling, applying the patch... nothing.

Hm, I also had the underwear to fully clothed in the interactable part thing happen. Again, I didn't check the menu. I just skipped the interactable scene and it went from fully clothed to underwear minus the bra in the next scene. That was when I had properly installed the patch, too.
So probably during the interactable scenes - at least after the undress part - the options unlock?

Anyway, maybe if you tried uninstall/reinstalling game, redownload patch, then install the redownloaded version of the patch that might work?
Also, the "going through the story" method I mentioned in my first post might not be entirely necessary, but I would reccomend giving it a try. After getting the game installed and the patch all set up, just jump right into the story, skip past all the interactable scenes and get to the end. Don't worry if it goes from underwear to fully clothed at the unhook bit. Skip past it. When you finish the story check the menu when you get back to the Title Screen.

That's what I did and I have had no issues with the game or the adult features since.

Here is an idea i have experienced with other games.

If you installed a patch AFTER starting the game as opposed to BEFORE starting the game, different things would happen. All because ''save data'' existed.

There is a possibility that this is the same here. If you uninstall the game, then reinstall it and APPLY the patch before creating save data, it might react differently than if you installed the game, started playing, exited and then installed the patch.

Just a thought.

You can specify which directory you extract to by pressing the "..." when running the self-extracting archive. It defaults to the directory 'vrkanojo_steam_ex.exe' is in.
If you are having trouble navigating a filesystem I suggest this:

Ok, I need help. I had the mod installed, but had a crash. New computer. Now I have installed the game, downloaded the patch, but when I go to overwrite the abdata folder I keep getting a pop up that is asking me to skip or replace files. What am I doing wrong? I guess I could use an idiots step by step to replacing or overwriting the abdata folder.
