Data sync or transfer to another machine?
Hi, I finished the game on my MacBook (oh yes, you heard me). Now I got a new PC and I want to play on the new PC now. How do I transfer the data over? I didn't see any options on neither the Mac or PC

According to the info in the store page, it supports cloud saves. I do have that enabled in my account and I know that years ago you got an indication if cloud saving was being used. I am not sure if that piece of info helps - you may want to install the game on the new PC and the save games will be downloaded from the cloud.

I just checked through https://store.steampowered.com/account/remotestorage and saw I got the save games for Shadow of the Tomb Raider uplodade in the cloud. I got a file called profile.dat and various save*.dat files.
I know it may sound pretty basic: did you check Steam options to see if Cloud Save is enabled? Note that I am not so sure about the Mac version of Steam Client.

In case it helps, my save games are also stored under My Documents\Shadow Of The Tomb Raider\random number\ . I have no clue what the equivalent in a Mac is (I assume you are playing on MacOs).

yes, I had it enabled. And I reinstalled SOTTR on my new PC and this time it pops out "Steam is unable to sync your files for ....". I am trying to figure out whyyyy

Oh, it works! so somehow steam got issue with auto-sync across platforms. then I did not know it was as easy as to copy paste those files to the new PC! And now I got my progress on my new PC! Thanks a lot!

Hi XnX, did you manage to get this working by just copying the file from Mac to PC? I am in the same situation and want to do that same. If so, where did you find the Mac save file? Thanks!

Have the same problem here.
What do these saves look like on a Mac? As far as I was able to find out, on the Mac they are in the directory with the game and I cannot directly copy them from the Mac to the documents folder in Windows. Or am I misunderstanding something?
