(Language files of single language can be over 5 GB, so it wouldn't be good to install them all for everyone. Steam only installs the language you select.)
All I wanted was the natives of latino America to speak spanish and for Laura to speak english.
Then for both parties to speak in which ever language the felt comfertable in. like my cousins and I. But, now my whole game is in Spanish. like I can read it and not really a problem. But, it would be more realistic if we were able to jump between both languages. =0(
You get more options if you select Spanish language for this game in Steam. You can then in game set all texts to English and audio to either English or Spanish (Spanish language pack includes both), with English subtitles.
I'm using this to get a bit more authentic feeling, but of course it would be better if Lara could speak both English and Spanish in correct places instead of either one all the time.

Well i feel dumb. but thank you for the information
Though I understand the reason for downloading them separately with their large size but why the game update them seperately aswell? I downloaded the Arabic pack along with a game update (I think), tried the Arabic VO...didn't like it so I changed back to English and it is downloading a 2.1 GB update now.
Moreover I fail to see why it is done this way instead of giving quality of life options like automatically download all available or selected language packs and the ability to change them in-game.
First Spiderman for PS4 now this. Are we moving forward in technology or backwards?
All language packs together will likely take far more space than rest of the game, so I don't think those should be installed by default.
But having option to install selection of languages would be really nice - I know few I'd install at once just to check how they sound (I love listening different languages), but I'm not that interested testing them out if I need to wait for 2-5 GB download whenever I change language.
* If I pick latin american spanish in steam, the game stays in english and does not have an option to change the language in-game.
* If I pick another language (other than english or LATAM spanish) the game runs in that language. I can choose the language in-game to LATAM spanish, but the change is ignored by the game and it keeps the language that I selected in Steam.
* I tried uninstalling the game. I picked LATAM spanish from the installation dropdown, waited for the install to finish, but the problem is the same.
So basically, it will let me play in any language other than the one I am trying to play in.
