Error!failed to create game directory

Unable to create save directory, the game will not be saved!

Please make sure the application has permission to write to the following folder:

It says this at game launch, i tried all of the fixes i found on reguarding windows defender, I am also using bit defender and have attempted to allow access in there, turned off all protection, nothing works.

It did work before the updates can I uninstall them? any ideas?

I'm having the same problem after the update too! EDIT: This was on my end. My Documents is on an external drive and it had gone into sleep more and wasn't appearing. After I woke it up, the game runs fine. I'm enjoying the game so far!

same here 16hrs play and now cant play
on launching the game a white box comes up with "unable to create save directory,the game will not be saved! please make sure the application has permission to write to the following folder in order to create save file" then no details of the folder in question ?

cant play the game with out save :(

this was fixed in an update

i found out what the cause was id delete the saved game directory , which was in my document folder , luckily i had a safe and re-installed my documents folder. thx for the info
