Using a 4090 graphics card
Has anyone else upgraded to this card and now find the game buggy af? I suppose It's expected seeing as the game is ten years old. Funny thing though, the graphics are fantastic but the game itself bugs out.

No, only thing I have seen is some visual artifacts related to RTX Shadows, which I haven't yet tested if it's due to GPU overclock or something else, since they happen rarely and always in the same locations.

In-game benchmark crashing often, but I can play the game no issues, so not a big problem.

Running high framerate may cause issues in a certain scape set piece in mid-game with the timers which results in death by being caught by the enemies. Solved by changing temporarily to 60fps.

PS: game is from 2018. It would be lovely if it were 10 years old with the graphics it packs.

I noticed stutters with the latest drivers.

Another RTX 4090's owner here. I'm playing this game a 8K (with antialiasing off), on a 4K monitor, with DSR factor set to 4X, in the Nvidia Control Panel.

The only problem I have is in the game's menus, where the mouse doesn't work properly, so I have to use the keyboard to navigate the menus. I also had a problem with artifacts in the 8K image (blinking squares), especially in cinematic scenes, when using Directx 12. Now I'm using Directx 11 (I'm using mods for Lara's body, which are not compatible with Directx 12) and I stopped seeing these artifacts.

However, at 4K, I didn't find any problems.

Which game is 10 years old? Because this game is not even 5 years old.

Tomb Raider (2013) is ~10 years old.
Rise of the Tomb Raider (2015) is ~8 years old.
Shadow of the Tomb Raider (2018) is ~5 years old.

I've been playing again with the new graphics card, noticed a little stuttering so I turned off V sync, blur motion and a few other things that I don't really need and its been fine.

Ah yes, 2018, 10 years ago.

The physics are weird, I'm trying to turn the two things around with channels in them and they're behaving strange, can barely move them and sometimes they turn with just a touch. The ropes often draw underneath Lara when you're swinging from them.

I am playing the EGS version and this sounds like the exact same issue I am having. Haven't had any other issues.

I'm on a 4080 and DLSS and/or Anti Aliasing did cause Lara's rope to glitch weirdly (it attaches under Lara and hangs in the air basically). I disabled DLSS and the rope behaves fine now. Disabled AA and disabled DLSS did again cause the rope to go crazy. So, I had to keep AA activated but DLSS deactivated. (Didn't try it the other way around since the game runs smooth without DLSS anyway.)

Maybe this also helps with other "physics" related issues...

I also tried to find a solution for this weird walkie talkie bug which I am affected by (Lara is holding her empty hand at her head when she is supposed to hold the walkie talkie). I changed almost every setting but couldn't find a solution for this one, sadly.

4080 and DLSS

are you on 8K or something?
at 4K highest everything you'd still get 134fps without dlss
its a 5 year old tomb raider game not CP2077 with RT
