eye of the serpent

Accidentally entered eye of the serpent tomb again after completing it, now Im stuck and cant open the gate. water wheel doesnt want to turn even though water is flowing into the wheel. dont know what to do. Gonna lose all my progress

I'm currently in Kuwaq Yaku, replaying the entire game again. I'll try to enter the Eye of the Serpent two times then, as I don't believe, it is impossible to get outta there.

There is a campsite in every tomb, you can't be stuck. You also have 3 different auto save's you can load from. If you walked in you can walk out.

There is no place you can go in the game you can't get out of. The developers made sure of that before Shadow was released.

It'd have been helpful, if I could get to know, when the challenge becomes available, where is the challenge or location present, or something alike.

The way it is presented, I can't tell, and so I do have to play through the entire game.
Naturally, I'm not gonna bother myself with it, and so I'll play only when I find myself in the appropriate mood.

Anyway, I've found the video about it, and you can't get outta there without the help of Fast Travel option in specific parts of the challenge.
OP has mentioned some kind of a gate - If he means the Great Gate, then there's, indeed, a way outta there. But, he mentions a wheel aswell, so it has to be the gate leading to the room with the Silver Box.
In that case, there shall be a Base Camp, if I'm not mistaken.

I'll try to get it done within the next few hours, and reply back here afterwards.


As promised, here are the screenshots;
You can't get to the room with the Silver Box anymore, and there's no point. Thing is, you can get back to the Eye of Serpent even if you were to travel to the next Base Camp and backtrack all the way through.

If you're stuck inside the Eye of the Serpent, and are on the other side, where there's no Base Camp, then do dive-in throughout the water.
One wheel isn't moving, but the next doubled wheel is, and you do have to swim through when the wheel turns in and allows you to make your way through. Lara can hold breath for a long time, so it should be of no issue.

If you've backtracked like me, then there's no way forward. You will have to get back to the Eye of the Serpent and get outta throughout the Base Camp, as I've suggested above. There's no other way out, if you do get there for the second time.

Let's try to keep in mind that some of the people using this forum are playing Shadow from the stand point they got it free, so why play the first when the 3rd is so much better, Right?

With that said your asking questions of people with answers pretty much based on memory. They may not have a clear answer, but it will be a correct one.

I stated before, there is no place you can't get out of. The only way to "get stuck or can't get out" is on you.

I'm one of those guys, I never used a guide or needed help getting thru Shadow. I found my own way, My reply may not have been clear to you, but it is correct.
