Is there a way to fix Lara's Hair?
On SMAA its really bad and jagged and other AAs make the game blurry!

You could always downsample the game with DSR or similar if you have a fast card.

Yeah...this is why TAA or higher is recommended.
Right now there isn't a way.

I'm using SMAAT2x, and yes, her hair look so bad compare to Rise of the Tomb Raider, even Tomb Raider 2013, I think.

Can you show us a screenshot of what you think is bad?

It's interesting how Pure Hair is either low or normal, IIRC Rise had off, low, normal or high.

It also barley moves, not sure if anyone else is experiencing this.

DLSS will eventually fix this, like how it fixed Final Fantasy XV's hair.
The issue I take with the hair is lighting(this is where rise of the tomb raider does much better job, the lighting, especially on her skin), and the model of the hair(its not exactly very smooth curve).

DLSS only exclusive to the RTX card series right?

And yes I agree in Rise it was very smooth when it was moving and more shiny.

Yup, only on RTX.

And the word you are looking for, is dithered hair.

An option to turn purehair off instead of low would be welcome. In the past two games I preferred the basic stiff hair to having fine strands distractingly moving all over. That said, the fancy hair looked better in the other two games.

Ive noticed that SMAA is pretty terrible for everything in this game even at 4k, jaggies everywhere not just on her hair... anything other than TAA or above looks horrible at any resolution

i got a gtx 1070 for a 1080 p 144 hz monitor everything on high her looks fine to me it looks like days go by and looks like her hair is clean & shiny ,,,,lol ,,,,, sounds like an issue they had with witcher 3 the tsaa etc will be the culprit as they fixed it on that game

I wish you weren't joking. I would spend the money.

I wish they would have an option of turning purehair off. It lags on old or low end PCs.
