AMD FidelityFX CAS?
This is a setting that seems to be similar to Nvidia's DLSS. Has anyone tried these settings, and got any advice about it?

I think it only works if you have an AMD GPU but I use a Ryzen CPU in my system and had the ability to toggle it on. I didn't notice any difference and have no idea if it even worked on my Nvidia GPU.

But yes it's the AMD equivalent to DLSS and it's supposedly almost as good as DLSS 2.0 based on what I've read.

Reduce the rendering resolution, and turn on AMD FidelityFX CAS, and you'll have a similar experience to turning DLSS on.

You can change the rendering resolution as you want until you find a balance of performance and appearance that you like.

Imo, try out DLSS, and various CAS combos, and select what you like best.

Edit: DLSS version 2, for games that support that, can provide a much better experience than DLSS or FidelityFX CAS and large downscaling can provide.

i turned it on and it just sharpened the image a bit with no performance impact, so leave it on i say.

What rendering resolution did you end up using?

With an RTX 3080, I'm trying 90% to keep above 100 fps while maintaining a beautiful image. Edit: Oh, my native resolution is 3440x1440. At 1080p, I'm sure I could just run 100% with CAS to keep 120 fps.

With DLSS, my framerate is higher, but I noticed blurriness at places. I seem to be avoiding that using 90% and CAS.

So, again, I suggest just trying out combos to find what you like for your specific system. :-)

Does this AMD feature work with an Nvidia RTX 3080???

Wow! 😲

AMD technology works with Nvidia, but Nvidia tech doesn't work with AMD. Has been the case for ages, hasn't it? AMD adopts open standards usually.
