Swimming is awful
Swim up and down , just doesnt feel right with K+M, never had a game where swimming is so tedious, although AC comes close.
Edited : DON'T bind a key to swim up and down, use the mouse to steer up and down and its a lot easier.

Even with controller is bad. I can't understand why they changed this from Rise.
Swimming controls are ok. You can easily just change Lara's direction by moving the mouse.

In Rise Swimming was too limited.

I was so stupid to set the controls for swim up and down on up and down.
That f*** it up.
Unbinded them and now swimming is proper good.
The input with swimming was never an issue for me. I feel quite comfortable by aiming with mouse to swim. The major, unavoidable screw up with swimming, is that the input doesn't correspond to Lara's movement. For whatever reason, even in caves where ought to not be a current, Lara's movement is floaty, and responds in a way that I can only describe as video game ice mechanics. She drifts around, and takes several seconds of flailing about before correcting course. The best way I could find of getting finer control was to point in the desired direction, and enter in and out of the fast swim. It didn't always resolve the floating issue, but it worked around half of the time.

Given that so much of Shadow of the Tomb Raider is based around water levels, it really took the joy out of it for me that the swimming mechanics were all wrong. Also, no rebreather, unlike in Rise, which is the least the devs could've done in the late or post game, just for a small quality of life improvement to help out completion.
