Thank you .
This is very disappointing for me. I was expecting either an equal amount of combat as the previous games, or more.
But to find out that there is less combat has me seriously worried. A major red flag.
This is what happens though when a different developer takes over. Things get messed up.
The thing is, I didn't like RotTR as much as TR2013 because there were even less fights and more exploration.
Wouldn't be such a problem, but it hurts the replay value alot.
"Uncharted 4" did the same mistake by toning down the action in favor of more climbing and running around.
And since this climbing and walking is just interesting/challenging the first time, it's boring if you do it a second tme, except you haven't played the game for a year or two.
Yeah, people call someone like me a "CoD"-kid, even if I never played these titles.
But I just need my little bit of action, and when it comes to the newer TR titles, these bits of action are the only moments of "true gameplay".
These moments, where you have to concentrate and the outcome is different each time, even if it's just slightly.
And compared to the classic TR titles, the "adventure aspect" (climbing etc.) in newer games is mostly automated and barely deadly.
In older titles, no matter how often you've beaten the game, dying cause of a misjudged jump is still very possible.
So in these older titles, you have to concentrate all the way through instead of typing something on your phone while climbing.
