Why are reviews so bad?

Actually it doesn't have it yet. And because it doesn't have it, reviews are bad. When they add it, the reviews will be changed to 12/10.

Well there all over the place it seems. some dont like the stealth gameplay while others just dont like the main story. Seems overall from what i've read the story is ok at best, and there alot more tomb raiding and over all the tombs and traps and puzzles are really good.

Overall it seems like if you like the previous g2 games your like this one, but if you were expecting more your be disapointed.

Shadow is significantly better in every way than the 2013 reboot and Rise of the Tomb Raider, I can't help but laugh that Gamespot has given it a 6

Yeah that might work when you're the site giving it a 5/10 when everyone else gives it a 10/10 or something.
It has a 77 on metacritic right now, though.

Its never like that. Show me a game that everyone gives 10/10. Journalists are giving the games either 5/10 or 9/10 while metacritics give them 70-80/100. Totally bad and totally good reviews are almost always not trustworthy. You rarely find a review with an honest score. That's why if you want to see a real review, you need to search for youtube beginners after the game is already released.

RPS Wot I Think review mentioned a lot of game breaking bugs in the review build. That could be why. Things like Lara failing to get her axes out when jumping to climbable surfaces. If its that bad at release I will definitely be refunding.

There are warning signs with the reviews atm, there either "amzing best TR yet" or "this is terrible worst tomb raider yet, give the game a rest"

Seems off, also if you read alot of really negative reviews there talking about things in the game like stealth mechanics being terrible, yet a site like Eurogamer that doesnt even give a score doesnt even talk about bad controls at all, so yeh thats weird.

I played 24 horus and never had the "axes failed to hook into surface' nonsense.

Those people just don't know how to play the game. Check my review.. I actually play Tomb Raider games a lot, so you might get a better impression.

I liked the original remake the most and this steps back in that direction. So I am positive I will love it.
